We’re dedicating 529 days of our lives to convincing the band Hanson to play at Bish’s wedding. Every day, we’re tweeting, blogging and sending video messages to Taylor, Isaac and “little” Zac. But what’s the point? Why bother? I guess the best answer is also the cliched answer - why not?
Life can be boring. We could go to work, sleep and repeat. But where’s the fun in that? Is life worth living if you don’t try to push things forward? Why follow what everyone else is doing? There’s no point, that stuff has already been done. We want to prove that anything is possible. That hard work gets results. Why can’t you get your favourite band to play at your wedding? Why should you settle for anything less?
We’re only halfway through our quest. We have a long way to go and we have no indication from the band as to whether they will play or not. We do, however, know that they are aware. They know who we are, they’d recognise us in the street and the mention of our campaign gains a reaction. At our core, we are Hanson fans and the fact that we have their attention blows our minds. Taylor Hanson knows our names. Even if you’re not a fan, you’ve got to admit that’s pretty cool.
Not everyone is going to support us. Let’s face it, the Internet is the kingdom of the cynical. But for every #FAIL! blogger and YouTube hater, there’s someone out there who has a Tumblr dedicated to cats that look like celebrities. These are the people we’re calling out to. The special people who don’t look at the negatives but instead try to create positives.
We’re putting everything we can into this. You may not agree with our methods but this is our opportunity to pull off something magical and we’re going to do whatever it takes. We’re not trying to make comedy and we’re especially not trying to make fun of a group of artists. We’re trying to make dreams come true and at the same time, prove that Hanson have grown and are more NME than Smash Hits.
If you want to support us and help make this happen then please get involved. We’re not asking for much. We just need you to believe in us. If you want to see this happen-Hanson fan or not-please pass on this message and help spread the word. We’re putting in everything we’ve got. All we ask is that you click a button and pass this on. One click. That’s all. One click and this gets liked, reblogged, favourited or retweeted.
The Internet has made the world a tiny place. Last week Hanson were questioned about our campaign while doing press in Brazil. Yahoo and Digital Spy have written about us. The band have discussed HAMW with Iain Lee on Absolute Radio. This has all happened because people have cared enough to help spread the word. We hope you can do the same.
The only way we can fail is if we give up and we’ve gone too far to quit now. This will happen. We will get Hanson at Bish’s wedding.

P.S. Please don’t tell Bish’s fiancé…she still doesn’t know.
